Story
Our Mum, Janet was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in May and moved into the Florence Nightingale Hospice in June where she spent her last weeks being looked after by the incredible staff. We want to support this wonderful charity as much as we can and honour our amazing Mum by running a 'Marathon' (half each). Adam will run the virtual Tallinn half in Estonia and Tom the virtual MK half around Enfield. This will take place on Saturday 12th September with Ad running the first leg then passing the virtual baton to Tom to cross the finish line at the Rose and Crown pub near Hilly Fields in Enfield!
Florence Nightingale Hospice is a special place. Tucked away on the site of Stoke Mandeville Hospital, you would never know the difference it makes to people at the most difficult of times. Providing palliative and end-of-life care through it's inpatient unit as well as the new Hospice at Home service, lymphoedema clinic, Day Hospice and Florrie's Childrens Team, the charity needs to raise £1million each and every year to keep the services running.
