Story

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page.

So I'm running the London Marathon on the Sunday 28th April raising money for Plan International.

As many of you will know Sarah and I were on Honeymoon in August 2018 in Lombok, Indonesia when a 7.0 earthquake hit about 5km away from us, there was a huge amount of damage sadly more than 500 people died, severely damaging the tourism industry which is a vital life line for the local communities.

Just 2 months later there was a huge Tsunami in Sulawasi (north of Lombok) which killed over 2000 people, and destroyed 68,000 homes. In 2018 there were 9 major earthquakes which have impacted over 2 million people in Indonesia.

Plan International are active across Indonesia and specialise in providing disaster response to support vulnerable children in the immediate aftermath of a disaster and then helping re-build the communities in the medium and long term.

It's a great charity to support and certainly worth forcing myself out of bed in the morning for those long training runs!!!!
