Story
In 2005, at the age of 5, I suffered form a life threatening Brain Tumour. Fortunately, I was treated from it and have been able to live a life that many children in the same situation are unable to experience.
To say thank you to the NHS and the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, I started raising money for Above & Beyond in 2015, my 10th year of being tumour free!
All money raised through my fundraising has, and will continue, to go towards the Oncology ward at the children's hospital, helping children and their families who are in the same predicament that my family were in all of those years ago. To date, I have raised £6,413.04 through 2 sponsored walks, a charity football match, a school disco and a grand Finale Concert.
After taking 2 years out of fundraising to focus on my A levels, I can finally say that I've been accepted into University and I will be off at the end of the Summer. To celebrate, I am putting on a 'Terrific Week of Fundraising' to help push my fundraising to £10,000 and beyond.
During a week in the middle of July, I will be inviting people to;
Take part in a 14 mile sponsored walk with me and collect sponsors
Come along to watch a charity football match where I will be selecting a team to play against an Above & Beyond XI
Purchase a ticket to my Final Finale where I will have a 'pub quiz' followed by live, local entertainment.
Any donations towards my target would be amazing! It's a massive ask to raise £3,500 through events and online donations in this time period but a worthy challenge when the reward is to see the smiles on the children's faces and to help their families. So if you can help in any way, it would be much appreciated by myself and the charity.
