Tom Viney's Journey to Brighton Marathon 2016

Brighton Marathon 2016 · 17 April 2016 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
If 7 months ago, someone said to me I'd soon be running in a 10k, I would have laughed in their face.
Recently, not only have I completed a 10k in under an hour, but also 10 miles in under 1hr 45.
So now, I've decided to take it a couple of steps further and enter the 2016 Brighton Marathon - a crazy distance of 26.2 miles.
The Brighton Marathon 2016, falls almost a year to the day, when I first decided to start running and raising money for The British Heart Foundation in memory of Dad after his unexpected death.
As part of my training plan, which can be seen in Photos, I'm also entering:
Chichester 10k 7th February
Worthing Half Marathon 14th February
Eastbourne Half Marathon 6th March
I'm aiming to complete the marathon in under 4 hours, which would be a huge achievement and require some serious training.
So far, I have raised around £390, I would love this to at least double this come April.
I plan to post regular updates on my training so you can follow my progress.
Thanks for reading! : )
