Story

22nd August 2017 is a date that turned one of my closest friends and his family’s world upside down. Their legend of a son Archie was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The condition will rob Archie of everything we take for granted, the ability to ride his bike, climb trees, chase his brothers Freddie and Otto around the park and ultimately will take his life.

Archie’s March supports Duchenne UK, a charity with one clear aim to end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys. Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development. Together, we will end Duchenne.

Please help us by supporting Archies March, a fund within Duchenne UK, every pound of which raised will go directly into research to treat, cure and end Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

Thank you.

As the leading Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) charity in the UK, we want to find effective treatments for DMD and end its devastating impact. We’re going further than anyone has before, and we’re doing it faster, because this generation of people living with DMD can’t wait.
