We support Birmingham Children's Hospital to improve the lives of sick children

Story

As many of you know, our daughter Evie was born in December 2008 with an exomphalos (a large portion of her bowel and liver were outside her tummy) and spent the first five months of her life in Birmingham Children's Hospital. The care she received from both her consultant, Mr Lander, and the nurses on Neonatal Surgical Ward was nothing short of outstanding. Not only did they look after our brave little girl for so long but also supported us through this difficult time.

Since Evie was discharged they have continued to stay in touch, and keep up to date with her progress. She is doing amazingly well and thanks to Mr Lander and the nurses we have a bright, happy little girl with a cheeky smile and a fondness for cuddles!! We can never repay them, but hope this fundraising will go a little way to showing our appreciation and hopefully go towards helping other babies, like Evie, who need a helping hand at the start. Therefore the money raised will go to Neonatal Surgical Ward, BCH.

Many thanks for your anticipated support and (hopefully) generous donations

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
