UPDATE: Half-marathon complete in 1.39:57. 21 mile walk to go!
Recent events across the world have highlighted the devastating impact of extreme weather and climate change, whilst the importance of affordable energy has also never been as prominent as it has been this year.
This September I’ll be taking part in a “Sweatember Double-Header” to raise money for Renewable World. On 4th September I’ll be running the Big Half (half marathon), and then on 23rd September I‘ll be joining some of my industry colleagues to walk 21 miles across the South Downs in one day.
Renewable World is a charity based in Brighton who aim to help marginalised communities utilise renewable technologies. If you want to understand a bit more about the impact they have take a look here https://renewable-world.org/our-impact/
Renewable World envisions a world where renewable energy is readily accessible to all, helping to both end extreme poverty and reduce climate change. They specialise in developing and deploying effective ways of bringing off-grid renewable energy solutions to the most remote and underserved communities, empowering them to achieve sustainable and resilient lives. Since 2008, they have reached over 40,000 people with renewable energy technologies and services. With your support, they can continue creating brighter futures in Nepal and Kenya.
