Forget Me Not was founded in 2018 with the sole purpose of improving the support available on the Isle of Man for dementia suffers and their families. The trustees, having all had personal experience of dementia, saw the need for additional support in the Isle of Man. In January 2020 they launched the Isle of Man first Admiral Nurse service in collaboration with Hospice Isle of Man and Dementia Uk.
In 2021, they have appointed their second nurse to further enhance this vital service. An admiral nurse provides specialist dementia support offering one on one assistance, expert guidance and practical solutions.
The Isle of Man admiral nurse service is funded entirely by Forget Me Not and the cost of this service is in excess of £100,000 per annum.
