Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Either stupidly or bravely I decided to sign up to the Weymouth Ironman 70.3. This involves a 1.2 mile sea swim, a 56 mile bike ride around the rolling Dorset hills and then a lovely 13.1 mile half marathon along the Weymouth sea front just to finish the day off. If I am going to punish myself by completing this challenge I thought I should make it even more worthwhile and raise some money while I do it.

Crohn's & Colitis UK are a charity very close to my heart, in 2018 my wife Anita was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease and over the ensuing years I have seen the many battles and challenges she has had to face on a day to day basis dealing with it. Crohn's & Colitis UK offer support for those diagnosed with the disease and are on a mission to raise awareness around it as well as delve into the causes and best treatments for the disease.

So if you can spare a bit of money to donate to this fantastic charity it will be greatly appreciated and you can be happy in the knowledge of how much pain I will be in dragging my body around 70.3 torturous miles in September.

Donate simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
