Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Our ageing population means more and more people are living with a terminal illness in the UK.
This year I have heard of so many unfortunate cases of people suffering from so many dreaded illness and have felt so helpless not being able to help those people.
That's why i have decided that the one of the best ways I can help anyone with one of these unfortunate illness is to help raise money for them people that CAN make a huge difference to them.
This is why I shell be running the London Marathon 2019 for the great charity that is Marie Curie for some of the great reasons stated below.
Marie Curie help people and everyone affected by the diagnosis to achieve the best quality of life, and support you to keep your independence and dignity for as long as possible.
Whether that's dementia, cancer, motor neurone disease, heart failure, Parkinson's disease, or any other illness, we’ll be here for you and your family to help you cope after a terminal diagnosis.
This includes treating or managing pain and other symptoms with medicines, therapies and other specialist approaches. It also means giving emotional support to you and your family when you need it most.
- £20- Will Pay for a nurse to look after someone living with a terminal illness from the comfort of there own home for one hour.
- £180- Will pay for a Marie Curie nurse full nine hour overnight shift in a persons home.
- £435- Pays for a someone to be cared for in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 Hours.
- £1050- Will pay for 15 people living with terminal illness to attend day therapy at a Marie Curie Hospice.
So if you Donate £20 not only will it help someone in need but if you include the name of a song/artist in the comments, I will add it to my official London Marathon playlist for all my training for the marathon.
