Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be so grateful for your support.
For those of you that know me well, I hate running and have never run further than 10k. I find it incredibly difficult and very boring. But events happen in your life where you change your perspective and become a lot less selfish.
For me, that event was in May 2018. At the age of just 29, my wife, Katy, had to undergo open heart surgery, to repair her leaking mitral valve. The courage and bravery she showed has encouraged me to get out of my comfort zone and raise money for a cause which (excuse the pun) is so close to my heart. The first class care and incredible expertise shown by every person involved from the diagnosis to her recovery really does mean so much and I hope this goes someway to thanking everyone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for donating. Every pound matters and can help the research take place that is so vital. It may be you in future that needs the care Katy received. It's an amazing cause and I intend to do them proud!
Thanks!
Tom
