Event: Strictly Best Foot Forward for Bury Hospice, from 11 September 2017 to 9 December 2017
In memory of Nicola Groves
Bury Hospice does 'Strictly come Dancing' as 28 contestants gear up for the dance challenge of their life. Each will spend 12 weeks learning new dances to be performed in front of a live audience.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In June of this year, my best friend of over 25 years, Nic, passed away after a short but valiant battle against pancreatic cancer.

In her final days, Nic was cared for by the team at Bury Hospice.  There are not really words to do justice to the love, care and support which not only Nic but her two sons, Jack and Alex, her husband Mark and all of the friends and family who visited her in those final few days were shown by all of the nursing team and doctors up at the Hospice.

Nic and I loved Strictly Come Dancing so whilst I am FAR from being a dancer, it seemed a very fitting coincidence that this event came up so soon after her passing when all of us have pledged to help the Hospice in any way we can.

Thank you so much for visiting my page and please believe me when I say a heartfelt "THANK YOU" for your donations, no matter how great or small, as every penny counts to help towards the upkeep of this incredible service.
