Yorkshire Cancer Research is an independent charity dedicated to funding world-leading research to pioneer early cancer diagnosis and discover new and better treatments. Each year we fund £10 million of world-leading research to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.

Story

Ok, so yes I am dressed as a giant penguin. Why? Why not...No hang on a minute, I said yes when I was drunk once...

Basically a group of us are running the Great North Run on the 19th September dressed as giant penguins, to raise funds and awareness for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

A wonderful charity doing great things in the fight to beat cancer.

I sadly lost my mum when I was 17 to breast cancer, and I want her to have a good laugh at me running the 13 miles in this stupid outfit!

There are a team of 6 of us doing this run, and when I last wore this for 15 minutes I nearly passed out so lets hope its a cool September! So please dig deep and sponsor me to get through this without stopping once, and hopefully in under 2hrs 30mins!

Every £ you donate will be matched by Barclays too!

Thanks for visiting my page, watch out for more penguin photos, and remember........never turn your back on a penguin!
