Story

I am raising money for The Mental Health Foundation, in memory of my brother in law Peter Atkinson who died suddenly on 24/06/21, at just 34.

It has been a lifetime dream to run the London Marathon, I remember watching it on TV every year as a child. Of course the music “The Trap” takes me right back there.

To be given a place by The Mental Health Foundation is an emotional moment for our family. I am honoured to raise money for their ongoing invaluable work.

Peter Atkinson was my brother in law who lived with us for many years. He was also the godfather to our daughter Luna. Peter died from a massive heart attack after a long battle with depression and addiction. His mental health ultimately lead to his death which had taken a physical and irreversible toll on his body.

Before his death, Peter had been a support worker at The Priory hospital, determined to help other people facing the same Mental Health struggles he did.

This is for you Peter x
