Story
Many of you will know that my now wife, Emily, was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2005. Thankfully after chemotherapy treatment she was cured and has remained disease free for the last 7 years, giving birth to our first son on the 4 of July 2013.
Recently I received heart breaking news that one of my best friends, Will Hannaford, was diagnosed with a melanoma, with his original prospects for survival being very bleak. Thankfully since the original diagnosis his chances have greatly improved and we pray that following surgery and the latest clinical trials he will make a full recovery.
Everyone is affected by cancer, either directly or through experiences with family & friends. Without charities such as Cancer Research helping to provide cutting edge medicines and procedures our ability to cure cancer would not be where it is today.
On the 20 of October I will be taking part in the South Downs 100 Sportive, cycling a distance of 100 miles, a total elevation gain of over 6000 feet, through the South Downs of West Sussex and Hampshire to raise money for Cancer Research.
Research kills cancer, please donate generously.
