Story
It has been a dream of mine to partake in the London Marathon and I am honoured to be able to run the 2023 Marathon for Bliss
My son, Maddox, was delivered at 31 weeks due to my wife having preeclampsia. Had Maddox remained where he was for just 48 hours more, our story would have been very different.
Maddox spent 5 weeks on the East Surrey Hospital Neonatal Unit, where he was cared for by an expert team who were supported by the wonderful Bliss.
Bliss played an integral part of our time on the unit - from offering mental health support in our time of crisis, to providing expert information (and even adorable “milestone cards” to ease the journey).
The Neonatal Unit saved Maddox’s life - and Bliss saved ours. Please, help me to raise as much money as possible as a small token of our appreciation towards their amazing work for my family and the families of all babies born premature or sick.
Wish me luck!
