MY MARATHON

Tom’s ‘London Marathon’ · 4 September 2020
Running ‘not the London Marathon'
On the 19th August I ran my 100th run since a 5k nomination at the end of April
I have ran just under 800k, a mixture of 5/10/15k and half marathons
I now want to run a full marathon and as an incentive I will be running for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust
My girlfriend Emma Crampton was diagnosed with CF from the age of 3 months
Seeing her daily routine and struggles never ceases to amaze me of her strength.
Despite Emma’s obstacles she lives life to the full and puts everyone else before herself.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function. Currently, half of those with CF will not live past age 41.The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way.
September 18th run - completed (5hr 11mins)
