Have you got that down? good here is the back story.

The event is a 3HB/river cottage team vs Fleet C.C. which is Thom’s local cricket club. The event is in aid of Macmillan Cancer support and the aim is to raise £5,000

Our great friend,Thom, was diagnosed with Colon Cancer last year and after some excellent surgery and 6 long hard months of chemotherapy he got his clean bill of health last month. Now that Thom has shown cancer the door he and we want to show our appreciation to Macmillan Cancer Support who helped through out the treatment. They do fantastic work day in day out helping cancer patients and their families and the more money we can raise the more good work they can do.

The aim is to try and raise £5000 and that each player must aim to raise a minimum of £100 individual sponsorship from friends, family, work etc.  This will start the ball rolling and then on the day we will have sponsored programmes and all kinds of raffles and auctions.

The aim is to make the whole day a celebration and fun for all so there will be face painting, coconut shies and other activities for small people and the gripping spectacle of sportsmen at the very top of their game playing the quintessential English summer game.

Food is being organised by River cottage so you can expect plenty of nourishing grub and as all profits are going to Macmillan you can satisfy your taste buds as well as conscious. There has even been talk of Pam the Jam cake making an appearance, worth the trip alone if you ask us.
