Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023 · 14 May 2023 ·

MND research is at a point where life-saving treatments are potentially on the horizon. And Sheffield is more than ready to be a frontrunner to find the answers. By fundraising, you'll improve the lives of patients long into the future.

Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. This year I will be taking on the Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon - on Sunday 14th May - to support Motor Neurone Disease research at the University of Sheffield.

MND is a terminal condition. It affects the brain and nerves and is nearly always fatal. In the UK alone, 1 in every 300 people in the UK will develop MND in their lifetime.

This charity is very close to my family's heart as my wife's uncle Marc sadly passed away after 5 years battling MND.

Marc was a brilliant person and a fantastic runner and it seems fitting to be doing the Leeds Marathon in his name even though my time may be nearly double what he would have done it in.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for any donation you have made.
