Story
On Boxing Day 2015 my Grandad, Brian Kirkham passed away. He spent the final week of his life in the care of Saint Catherine's. The support they gave to him and my entire family is something I will never forget and will always be truly thankful for.
In order to repay them and continue to fund the amazing work they do I am going to be running 9 marathons in 9 days from the 15th- 23rd July 2017. I will be starting at Blatchford Cottage, the home my Grandad built in Guildford for his young family, and finishing in the final place he called home in Hutton Buscel. A total distance of 229 miles!
My aim is to raise at least £4,000, the equivalent of one week of full time care in Saint Catherine's. However, ideally I would like to make it to £11,000 which is enough to run the hospice entirely for a full day. Although you cannot put a price on the help they gave him it would go a long way to giving something back to them.
I would really appreciate any support you are able to give and if you would like to do some running with me you are more than welcome!
