Story
In April I will be running the London Marathon which has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember having seen my Dad complete it 10 times. I have begun my 16 week training block with the aim of going sub 3 hours in London, although this will be some challenge! Since putting the running shoes back on again in late September I have loved building up my fitness and I can’t wait for the real training to start.
And throughout my journey to the start line in April I will be raising money for Headway. This charity supports people who have suffered serious brain injuries and helps them rehabilitate. This is poignant for me as my Mum suffered a serious brain injury when she was 20 and, amongst other things, had to learn to walk again.
I am aiming to raise £2,000 which is a huge ask so any contribution small or large will be massively appreciated. Thank you to everyone who is sponsoring me, and to Timeline (timeline.co) for their support!
I am now just so excited for the next few months of training and then the trip down to London, living out this life long ambition. And also a pint or two of London Meantime Lager afterwards! It’s the best.
