Story
I'm running the virtual Phoenix Run throughout May, the Terry Fox Run UK on 2 October and virtual London Marathon on 3 October. All events are supporting the ICR and the fantastic research they undertake.
Phoenix Run
The Phoenix Run is themed #TogetherWeRise and the event is solely to support ICR. It is organised by the team behind #TeamRMJ (https://runningmrjones.com/). The event has already raised £200 from entry fees (see offline amount) and any donations from participants and supporters would be amazing.
UK Terry Fox Run
The UK Terry Fox Run is a free to enter, non-competitive and open-to-all, and the goal is to raise funds for cancer research for The Institute of Cancer Research in the name of a true Canadian hero. Run, ride or walk 2.5 - 10k on Saturday, October 2nd.

About Terry Fox
At 18 years of age, Terry Fox learned that due to bone cancer his right leg would be amputated above the knee. During his ordeal, Terry became convinced that a cure for cancer could be found through cancer research, but funds were in short supply. Four decades on, Terry's 'Marathon of Hope' continues to raise funds for cancer research through the charity founded by Terry's family. To date the Terry Fox Foundation has raised over £500 million to support cancer research. Here in the UK, the Terry Fox Run supports The Institute of Cancer Research, London which is one of the world's leading cancer research institutes.
Virtual London Marathon
London Marathon needs no introduction. The virtual version of the race was debuted in 2020 to massive success and gained a GWR for the largest virtual marathon. In 2021 a massive 50,000 places are available so the possibility of smashing their own GWR. I'll be running it again, but this time it will in and around the physical race where I'll be supporting, encouraging and cheering the ICR team.
