Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for donating to such a great charity. In previous years we have always ran the GNR in memory of those we have lost. This year sees a break in tradition - we are running for somebody who is very much here and who's life has been changed with a recent diagnosis. This means your money is even more effective. You are donating to a charity which could help us directly - if not now then in the future, so thank you!

Rach 'went the extra mile' for Parkinson's UK and ran the Edinburgh Half Marathon on Sunday 25th May. In the mean time Ian took part in a couple of triathlons. Big G Todd and Steph have propped up a few bars and with 5 weeks to go decided to give this half marathon a go for the little lady in their life.

We hope to see you all at the finish line of the GNR for a traditional beverage and to celebrate a great day for the North East. Never mind the elites - the big question is, will Ian or Rach come first?!.. Or will the todds make it through the gruelling 13.1 miles?!

Thanks again and lots of love

Graham, Steph, Rach and Ian xxx

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
