Toby is running the width of the UK to raise money for Manorlands Hospice

Aiming to raise £1000 for Manorlands Hospice by running the width of the UK in 38 days · 24 April 2020
I am Toby Lloyd, a 17 year old student from North Yorkshire. I am aiming to do something challenging, fun, and socially responsive during my time in lockdown. I want to do this to raise money and awareness for Manorlands Hospice, whilst also improving my personal fitness levels.
I have chosen Manorlands Hospice because I want to reach out to an independent charity that is facing challenges during this time, and help support them. I was privileged to witness first hand, the outstanding, palliative care they provided when they looked after our close friend, Gill Belt, in 2018.
Some of you may be wondering how I am going to run the width of the UK. I plan to do 4 mile daily runs from the 24th of April until the end of May. I want to run approximately 4 miles a day, and some days I may even exceed this goal. If I achieve my targets, I will have run a grand total of 152 miles. This is equivalent to running from Settle to Blackpool, and then across the width of the UK from Blackpool to Bridlington.
Any support is gratefully appreciated. Thank you!
