We fund research and support families to find a cure to Batten disease

Story

I'm running the marathon for a charity close to my heart, the Batten Disease Family Association. A dear, young friend of ours, Lily, has suffered with Batten Disease for so many years now. Her courage, and all of those young people who suffer the same condition, will forever be  an inspiration to me. Their families rely on the BDFA for vital support, from the first diagnosis of Battens and, throughout the harrowing experience that is then sadly inevitable. To date there is no cure for Batten Disease. The BDFA can bring some hope, comfort and assistance for these families, through medical research and by standing alongside these families throughout the cruel journey that is Batten Disease. So please help me to raise funds so we might help make a difference in their lives, and the ultimate hope is that one day a cure can be found. Thanks for reading and for any donation you might be able to make. Toby
