Story
On 29th March 2022 our temporary system was formed at the Body and Soul Charity, in Rosebery Avenue, London. We were welcomed by Emma and Jed and asked to share their compassionate spaces. Emma and Jed set the scene to start our journey, exposing us to their ‘whole person’ model of care. Their model nurtures connection, healing and growth and their innovative charity supports people of all ages who have been disproportionately impacted by childhood adversity and trauma.
Throughout our temporary systems journey, we have learned, grown, challenged and been challenged by our emerging complex system. The learning journey has at times been tumultuous. However, it has challenged us to listen and identify our blind spots, in order that we find and create the opportunity for understanding and love with the absence of judgement, within our systems.
Reflecting back to the very start of our journey and stepping from the pavement on Rosebery Street into Body and Soul, we were confronted by an environment built on love, kindness and a desire to understand one another. During our TMP journey we have witnessed first hand how crucial this is, in order to develop and become compassionate leaders.
As we approach the formal ending of our TMP temporary system it feels fitting to pay tribute to where our community first started. Many have expressed a desire to make a charitable donation and so we have set up this voluntary JustGiving account.
