Hello Everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running the London Marathon on 21st April for the Alzheimers society. Memory is such a precious part of us, it captures all the amazing experiences in our lives.
Dementia is used to describe the symptoms that occur when the brain is affected by specific diseases and conditions. Symptoms of dementia include loss of memory, confusion and problems with speech and understanding.
Two of my grandparents have dementia so I know some of the effects of the condition, this is why I am raising money for the Alzheimers society, to raise awareness and help tackle the horrible effects it has.
Alzheimer's Society staff and volunteers provide both local information and over 2,000 services across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to people affected by dementia in their communities. Their local services include day care and home care for people with dementia, as well as support and befriending services to help partners and families cope with the demands of caring.
I'm not asking you to donate much, just a little will go a long way and help motivate me run the whole 26 miles and 385 yards around London!
Thank you so much! :)
Tom x
