Story
#Baton4Cancer
Our group is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative. Since the pandemic started, we have missed seeing each other in person.
33 is the sum, of the distance between each of our homes, to our work place, the Tenovus building. We chose this number, because it represents the distance we would need to physically overcome, to be together in one place. For this fundraising event, each of us is setting a personal challenge, that incorporates this number, but also respects each individual's limitations.
We will be fundraising for 33 days. Some of the personal challenges are listed below:
Aled: run 1 km/day for the 33 days of the challenge
Rachel: walking 3.3 km before sunrise, to a beach to throw 33 rocks (not pebbles) in the sea 33 days in a row. 33 capture of sunrises.
Steve: row for 33km (on a rowing machine) and walk at least 33km during the challenge
Marie: to walk 33,000 steps every week for the duration of the challenge.
Matt: Cycle 33 miles per day for 33 days... total of 1089 Miles
Amr: 33 push-ups/day. Difficulty level increase every 3 days
Andreia: workout (at least) 33 minutes per day
