Story
This year is my year to get healthy again and to do so I've set myself a new challenge ..running from London to Brighton, on one of the most famous ultra marathons in the UK.
I stopped smoking in September, started jogging in October and then upped training in December. In March I completed the Brighton Trail Marathon..27miles of the South Downs, beuatiful but very very hilly!! It was extremely tough both mentally and physically but I managed to finish in one piece.;
Now, it's time to master hills and improve my form, my fitness and my mental focus to keep going in the face of sheer exhaustion! The next event is now the Wharefdale Off Road Half-Marathon in June, then the UltraPeaks 40m in August. The main event is at the end of September, and now that I understand the South Downs, I do not underestimate this challenge!
Running is largely about mental focus, so raising money for a worthy cause like Tickled Pink really helps my motivation on rainy, cold winter mornings! I really appreciate your support in achieving the target!!!
Thanks Tish
