Story

Those who know me well would know that I am a keen sports person, and I am particularly into sports that involve plenty of running, such as 10-pin bowling, pool and darts, to name a few.

I have also been known to take one-stop bus rides in order to avoid walking.

So what better way to put my immense fitness into great use by taking part in a half marathon in October!  What's 13 miles?  It will definitely end well!

UCLH charity have done excellent work for patients, staff and research - I work at UCLH and personally have been a beneficiary of many schemes over the last 20 years here so it's only right that I do something back.

I would really appreciate your generous donation, whatever the amount.

It's going to take me a few hours to run, so I'm going to need some music to keep me sane.  Barring technology mishaps, the run will be live streamed - it may even turn into live running/karaoke mega-event! So, do nominate a song with your pledge, and it may well get onto the playlist (taste allowing, please...)!

So.. um.. really, how long is 13 miles precisely?
