Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our joint JustGiving page that will be used by anyone joining us on this trek.
Kev was diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer 7 years ago and given as short as 2 years to live .
Somehow Kev is still here so as friends we decided to trek to Tipperary whilst we still can because is a long way and to prove what's possible despite challenges. we will be raising funds and awareness along the way so other families do not have to go through what Kevin's family are every day.
Setting off on 19th April from Prostate Cancer UK's head office in London we will be trekking around 20 miles a day up through England, across to Dublin from Liverpool and then down to the finish in Tipperary. Of course we will be saying goodbye to Piccadilly and farewell to Leicester Square along the way too!
Every kilometre covered represents another man dying of prostate cancer in the UK and the trek is symbolically planned to take around a month.
Along the way we will be joined by a few friends from time to time and be talking to people we meet about being prostate aware , chasing your dreams and living your best life. Kev is hoping to undertake a more formal presentation each day too.
1 in 8 men die of prostate cancer in the UK alone, in fact a man dies every 45 minutes of this indiscriminate disease.
