I think we can all agree that the last few years have been difficult . The global pandemic has really effected charity's ability to carry out fundraising, which has impacted the service they provide to people that need them. It is because of this , the teams ambition is to help raise funds by carrying out a half marathon ( to make the legs extra heavy !) and the national 3 peaks challenge within just 4 days of each other. 

The 3 peaks challenge consists of climbing the 3 tallest peaks in the UK within 24 hours. We will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowden all within 24 hours ( This includes the driving in between the mountains with limited sleep) We will start at Ben Nevis at 5pm on Friday 25th of May and conclude our challenge before 5m Saturday 26th at Mt Snowden. We will be walking 23 miles , ascending a total of 15,000 ft and driving 450 miles in this time period.  

This challenge will not be easy , however just to increase the level of difficulty we will be also running the Manchester Half Marathon on the 22nd of May.

The Team have chosen to support both Mentell and The Christies . Mentell work out of Hall & Co's co working space , PROFOLK , and offer a safe place for Men +18 to talk around issues such as Anxiety and Depression. Did you know that 1 in 4 people suffer from mental health issues / Did you know that suicide is the biggest killer of men under 35 ? Mentells mission is connect men with support networks to help them through the tough moments.

The Christie is the largest single site cancer center in Europe and the first UK center to be accredited as a comprehensive cancer center. They treat more than 60,000 patients a year . Our team like a large number of you have been effected by cancer over the last year and believe strongly in trying to support the fantastic work the Christie continue to do every year.
