Story

Since moving to London in 2017, the Zoological Society of London has been a constant source of inspiration and motivation for me. I've seen first hand the amazing work that this organisation does on a daily basis - from the reintroduction of captive-bred Waldrapp Ibis into the mountains of Spain to the cutting-edge veterinary care that the animals recieve.

I have benefited massively from the knowledge and experience from the keepers and staff at both zoos, and I know that many other RVC students have too, through rotations or just by having a place to escape the hustle and bustle of London.

ZSL works around the world to protect and conserve endanged species from eels and marine mammals in the Thames, to Asiatic lions in India and pangolins in Central Africa.
