Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.
Steph & I have been talking about doing a walk for charity, but have had various mishaps along the way. I decided it would be a good idea to sprain my ankle...again...& Steph had a few set backs with her back. BUT now we seem to be semi-fit & have decided to attempt the Thames Path Challenge & "persuaded" Dawn to join us.
I will be walking for the British Lung Foundation. One of the reasons I chose this charity is Steph's son has scarring on his lungs which is one of the signs of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. This can run in the family & Steph's dad has recently been diagnosed, also her grandmother had scarring of the lungs. Another reason is, this is becoming more common & my son had Bronchiolitis when he was a baby & could possibly have problems when he is older. My family have a history of asthma, hayfever etc so you never know what's around the corner.
The British lung Foundation & I would be most grateful for any donation, no matter how small (preferably large but beggars can't be choosers) & thanks again for taking the time to read this.
