Story
Thanks for visiting my page. Alongside my hubby Marcus Killick (or should I say behind him) we are raising money for the British Heart Foundation and would be so grateful for your support.
It was really important for me to run my first London marathon for bhf in memory of my dad. Although he wasn't so keen on the idea of getting older - we all pictured him sat in his chair forever! Unfortunately despite several medical and health conditions in the end it was his heart that took him from us. Following this our poor step mum, having a horrendous year, battling operations, having a lonely and scary stay in hospital during the pandemic and finally making it home - also left us, which turned out to be heart related too - as far as we are concerned she gave in to the heart break.
Finally my youngest son, although fine in himself and his day to day life is not affected he does have a heart condition which is monitored regularly at hospital and likely to require an operation when he gets older.
With all of the above it was obvious I couldn't take a charity place for anyone else, and raising the £2,500 required would mean the world to us.
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
Thankyou so much from the bottom of my heart.
