Story

Hi!

I am heading off on my travels soon to combine a nice relaxing holiday with some endurance racing. This year the event is the Brazil Ironman (http://www.ironmanbrasil.com.br/eng) which takes place on 25th May on the island of Florianopolis in the south of the country. Ironman is a long distance triathlon comprising a continuous 2.4 mile swim in the sea, 112 mile cycle and 26.2 mile marathon. This year I am aiming to knock about an hour off my personal best and finish in just under 11 hours, then I can relax and enjoy the caipirinhas, carnival and the Copacabana.

I am delighted for others to benefit from my suffering, so again this year I am raising money for my friends at MyBnk. This small educational charity helps young people in London increase their financial literacy and develop enterprise skills through an innovative programme of learning (http://mybnk.org). As ever, I will be paying for all my costs, so every penny donated will go directly to helping the young people receive the help they need. (Centre for Innovation in Voluntary Action is MyBnk's parent organisation)

Thank you very much for sponsoring me,

Tim
