Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Tim Danzelman, a much loved son, brother, daddy, uncle and friend to so many, sadly lost his lifelong battle with drug and alcohol addiction on 30th June 2022, in Plymouth, aged just 43.

Tim ended up in Cambridge by chance, having boarded a train from Norwich to London without a ticket. He was thrown off in Cambridge, where he then ended up staying for over 10 years! During his time there he spent a lot of time on and off the streets and was eventually put in touch with Emmaus, who welcomed him into their community which provided a home in exchange for work collecting and restoring furniture which was then sold in their charity shops. They encouraged independence by getting residents involved in cooking and cleaning and encouraged and supported Tim to pursue his interest in fishing, providing him with the equipment he needed.

In return for their kindness and compassion, we would like to support them by raising money to enable them to help more homeless and vulnerable adults in his situation to turn their lives around.
