Story
If you know me well, you'll probably know I do an epic bike ride every year around this time in memory of my dad - occasionally for the charity, but mostly just for me.
This year I rode the Dragon ride in the Brecon Beacons - I was hoping to do 140 miles, but switched to the 'medio' route when the legs gave out - still, 95 miles, over 2000m of climbing, and my second longest ride ever!Macmillan are a charity close to home - the palliative care they gave my dad in his last few days at a dedicated ward at Frenchay Hospital was outstanding and truly heart warming in difficult days. They also showed amazing compassion to me and my family when visiting, that I'd like to give a little back.
Details of the ride are here: http://humanrace.co.uk/events/cycling/dragon-ride
