Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2019 · 26 May 2019 ·

We provide emergency medical care worldwide to people affected by conflict & disasters.

Story

I am running in the Edinburgh Marathon at the end of May, in attempt to put something right from 30 years ago. The full story (if you are interested) is at https://runthe26.wordpress.com/2017/06/15/why-the-26/

So after much thought, I have decided to raise some money on my run for Medecins Sans Frontiers. It is an international charity that sends medical aid into conflict zones, to treat those caught up in the violence. It does so without prejudice or favour on any side.

I should point out here that my son works for them, but that is not behind the reasoning for this choice: MSF is something my wife and I have supported for many years. Having said that, he did help make this film on the work in Gaza which I found particularly moving.

Thank you in advance.
