Story

Welcome to my JustGiving page.

On Sunday (25th April) I ran the London Marathon for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity).
SANDS is an organisation which can offer you support when your baby dies during pregnancy or after birth.
Many thanks to everyone who has donated - both SANDS and I are delighted with the amount raised!

ps There is still time to top up the total - donate now!

It was a great day starting in the pouring rain after a night of no sleep (nerves+excitement).  The race grew steadily warmer and the last 5 miles were the hardest thing I have ever done.  The atmosphere was amazing and the support of friends and pupils definitely saw me through.  I recorded a very pleasing finishing time of 4 hours 3 minutes.  Many thanks to my wife Catherina for looking after Thomas while I went on yet another training  run and to Jason Witcombe for being my long distance running partner.
