For the first time since leaving Boys Brigade in 1975 I've decided to get sponsored and raise money for a charity: Right To Play.

Right To Play's mission is to improve the lives of children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world by using the power of sport and play for development, health and peace.

I will be joining work colleagues and friends in a modest endeavour to cycle the Taff Trail (quite obviously in Wales). It is a 55 mile ride from Brecon to Cardiff.

Pleasantly the ride is in the right direction: Brecon to Cardiff; which is obviously a gentle downhill run from a height of 800 metres to sea level over a 55 mile stretch. However I have now discovered some nasty little hills en route, so I'm a lot less enthusiastic now.
