Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always had a dream of completing the ultimate single day sporting challenge, the Ironman Triathlon. The Ironman distance consists of 3.8km open water swim, 180km cycle, then run a full marathon, all that have to be completed within 17 hours. See the video on the left!!
Obviously this is not a challenge to be taken lightly, and training consists of a 30 week programme which started in January building from 7-15hrs a week ready for my Ironman distance event which is the Outlaw Iron Distance Triathlon in Nottingham on August 8th 2010 starting with the swim at 6am with the cut off of the Run at 11pm.
As part of my challenge I am raising money for Cancer Research. Please donate whatever possible, and as an incentive my employer Williams Lea is matching whatever you donate, so if you donate £5, they will make it up to £10 to support the great work that Cancer Research do to prevent this disease.
