We support the RVC's animal hospitals to help them treat 20,000 animals a year

Story

Hello everyone,

I am running in the 2012 London Half Marathon to raise money for the Royal Veterinary College's charity the Animal Care Trust.

I have been studying at the RVC since September and, as well as being an educational institute they also do an incredible amount of research towards new treatments and cures for all kinds of disease. The college also have two animal hospitals, an equine referral hospital and practice, a farm animal clinical centre and a diagnostic laboratory.

The Animal Care Trust is responsible for raising funds to support these facilities, for example purchasing new equipment and improving services at these hospitals. It also helps support RVC's educational commitments and assist the research teams.

The hospitals provide world leading veterinary care to thousands of sick and injured animals so please donate anything you can to support the work they do.

I have never run more than a few miles before so this will be a big challenge for me, please show your support and donate. I am hoping to raise £300 so thank you in advance for any donations.

I am running with my good friend Beth Duncan who is also fund raising for the RVC's Animal Care Trust.
