Story

Me and my brother-in-law Sam are running the London Marathon 2021 in aid of The Meningitis Research Foundation.

This charity is unfortunately one I am all too familiar with having lost my 18 year old brother Paul to meningitis in 2005. I am hoping any money raised here can eventually help stop other families losing someone like we did to this horrible illness.

Paul was a cheeky chappie who always had a smile on his face. I hope we’ll be smiling after dragging ourselves around the 26 miles!

Meningitis is deadly; killing and seriously disabling in hours. Small children and young adults are high risk, but all ages can be affected. Globally 1,000 people die daily. We fundraise to invest in research, campaign for vaccines, provide symptom information and support those already affected.
