This #GivingTuesday an anonymous donor has offered to match all donations made towards the building of our new shelter, dollar-for-dollar, up to $500,000. Your donation will have double the impact for the future homeless animals in Dorchester County!

Story

Paws has received a HUGE matching gift to assist with building a much needed, new shelter.  I'm begging you to consider making a donation on #GivingTuesday.  A $50 gift becomes $100, a $250 gift becomes $500!  These animals depend on your support!!! Thank you :)

"The shelter is sending out Morse Code and waving their flags in hopes we will answer their call. It's time for us to help save our shelter and give the homeless dogs and cats in Dorchester County a fighting chance. If you have been inside Dorchester Paws, the only shelter in the County, you've seen the struggles the aging facility is up against.  Already this year, the 48-year-old shelter has had to close three times because of flooding. Closing means turning away animals in need while the Dorchester Paws staff work in emergency mode. When the forecast calls for heavy rain, dogs and cats are shuffled to a nearby middle school gym or taken to other shelters across the Lowcountry. Imagine the stress this puts on these homeless animals.  With the financial burden that Covid-19 has caused and the proposed land for the new building no longer being feasible, they need our help utilizing this $500,000 matching potential to the fullest! Every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar."
