Story

On 2nd October 2022, I will be running the London Marathon for the Bone Cancer Research Trust in memory of Hugh Freeland. Hughie was my best friend, Lizzie Mann’s, brother-in-law and tragically died of a very rare form of osteosarcoma in April 2022. Hughie leaves behind a beautiful family and void in so many peoples lives. Hughie was a very talented sportsman and runner, so it feels very fitting to be running a marathon in memory of this amazing man!

Research into bone cancer is hugely underfunded, making up just 0.028% of UK cancer research spend despite being one of the most common cancers. Any donation to my page below, no matter how big or small, will go towards funding research which will save lives and improve outcomes for people affected by primary bone cancer. A HUGE thank you in advance - I’m off training!
