TILLY'S 26 SONG 2.6 Challenge

The 2.6 Challenge · 26 April 2020 ·
Save the UK's CharitiesGeneral fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
When I was 15 months old I was given 0% chance of survival after contracting Meningococcal Septicaemia strain B. Today I am one of the lucky survivors only losing my hands. A small price to pay for my life. If you are lucky enough to survive, after affects are common and as I have been growing I have had other problems to deal with, which stemmed from the meningitis. My adult teeth grew in decayed and one of my legs stopped growing.
My mam now works for the charity and has always dedicated her life to helping where she can those people that have been affected like we were. I see all of the great work that goes on everyday. This charity is important. They help families everyday and offer funding for research in the fight against meningitis and offer support services to help those that may be dealing with losing loved ones or having to go through amputations etc. Not to mention the 'Rebuilding Futures fund' where they help to fund specialist equipment etc. and the fact that they help with funeral costs.
We need this charity and I ask from the bottom of my heart to please support my fundraising challenge to help them. I will be singing 26 songs via You Tube live stream on Friday 24th April at 7pm (UK time) which also happens to be World Meningitis Day. I am just getting into singing and have never done anything like this before so it would mean the world to me if you could log in and support me with this challenge. Hopefully it will inspire you to choose your own challenge and if you don't have your own specific charity to support I can recommend Meningitis Now :)
Thank you
