Story
Fletcher has been noticing rough sleepers whenever we've been in town or cities and always discusses with us how hard that life must be. A recent visit from someone from the Julian House charity at his school talking about homeless members of our society has prompted him to want to do something to help.
So on the 3rd March we will be sleeping out in Alice Park, Bath with just a cardboard mattress and sleeping bag each as part of Julian House's Big Sleep Out. This will give us a very small idea of what it's like in this situation that thousands are in. And it will certainly be a challenge to try to sleep and brave sleeping out without even a tent.
We would really appreciate any financial support, no matter how small for us to donate to the charity to help with their work. Thank you
More about Julian House
Julian House needs your help to rebuild lives this year. The last year has made many of us feel vulnerable, but for the people we support this is nothing new. Even before COVID-19 arrived most of the people in our care were vulnerable and often isolated from mainstream society.
The pandemic made their situation even more stressful and, in many cases, riskier. This was especially true for those without a home, experiencing domestic abuse, struggling with addiction and/or mental health issues. The pandemic has also had a devastating effect on Julian Houses voluntary income at a time when the demand for our services has increased.
With fundraising events being cancelled and our charity shops and bike workshops having to close temporarily, our voluntary income as taken a significant blow. Vital voluntary income needed to fund our life-saving services. Your support can help rebuild more lives. Please donate today
