Emmaus is a fantastic charity supporting more than 800 formerly homeless people in their 30 communities and 4 groups around the UK. Emmaus communities offer a safe place to call home for as long as it's needed, in a community setting, meaningful work in an Emmaus social enterprise and tailored support. Contributing to the Emmaus community through working in the social enterprise helps companions (Emmaus beneficiaries) to rebuild their broken self esteem, adjust to stability and routine and empowers them to help others whilst developing a sense of purpose.
