Right before Christmas this year, my 29 year old cousin was told she had cancer. On Christmas Eve she began her journey to get better. Thanks to the funding and the work provided by charities like Cancer Research UK, I am not running for a hopeless cause - instead in celebration of her continued recovery. 

The reason our rates of survival are better than ever is because of research. Unfortunately it costs millions of pounds and so I am hoping to be able to do my bit to help with that and to say thank you. I will be working hard to ensure I make the entire distance which means lots of 5:30 get-ups for training and sore feet but really it's a small price to pay.... and I will provide updates as I improve (hopefully)!
